Senior Accounting Consultant, AP
PSESD is seeking a Sr. Accounting Consultant, AP to manage, plan, and coordinate all aspects of Accounts Payable processing and reporting requirements. Duties will include providing and maintaining accurate financial records in the accounting system; serving as a liaison to agency staff, vendors/contractors, and state auditors; ensuring compliance with federal, state, local and/or district laws, regulations, and policies related to payment for goods and services; and providing supervision and oversight of the accounting activities completed by AP staff.
PSESD is one of nine regional educational agencies serving school districts and state approved charter and private schools in Washington. Serving over 39% of Washington's K-12 public school students, our agency provides critical services designed to ensure that our students are ready to enter school, achieve at high levels in the K-12 system, and succeed in postsecondary endeavors. Minimum Qualifications
- AA/AAS Degree in a job-related field (HS/GED and progressively responsible job-related work experience may substitute for AA)
- Prior experience supervising others
Preferred Qualifications
- Washington Association of School Business Officials (WASBO) Certification
- Experience with accounting and payment systems and practices
- Experience developing and implementing procedures
- Experience managing staff and building a team
