As our patient volume continues to grow we are offering an seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Assistants/Technicians to join our team; working primarily in our North Seattle (Northwest Hospital Campus) and Bellevue locations.

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES - generalized:
- Conduct patient work-ups including obtaining medical history
- Knowledge and proficiency of ophthalmic equipment including auto-refractor, slit lamp and administering eye medications
- Conduct diagnostic testing including measuring vision, tonometry, OCT, ICG, and Fluorescein Angiography
- Assist the physicians with ophthalmic patient procedures
- Accurately scribe including proper documentation and charting of the examination
- Answer patient questions and telephone inquiries, including but not limited to, attaining resolution to patient problems
- Maintain a smooth clinic flow of patients
- Provide support to the front desk staff by returning patient phone calls, managing prescription refills and scheduling appointments
- Other clinical tasks as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prefer one-year experience in Ophthalmology/Optometry OR as a Medical Assistant or equivalent education/experience (prefer experience in retina but not required). Will consider recent CMA graduates and individuals with two-years experience in a healthcare setting.
- High School diploma /GED required
