Paraeducators/Educational Assistants
We are looking for skilled and dedicated professionals that are committed to our students and community who are interested a continuing program of personal and professional growth. Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
Under the direction of the Building Administrator and classroom teacher, paraeducators are responsible for supporting the elementary educational process. Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimally, must meet ESSA (Every Student Succeeds Act) standards of:
- AA Degree or higher, or
- 72 quarter hours or 48 college semester credits of 100 or higher, or
- Pass the Para-Pro Assessment ETS (Educational Testing Services)
- Must meet or be willing to meet the FCS (Fundamental Course of Study) requirements
Employment Conditions:
- Substitute positions and Various contracted positions are available!
- $20.47 - $24.74/hour per PSE Agreement 2021-22 Salary Schedule
- A variety of medical and other insurances may be available based on assignment/FTE. As a condition of employment, a Federal/State Criminal History Background Clearance will be required for newly hired employees
- *Important update: Effective with the Governor’s mandate released August 18, 2021 it is a requirement for all K-12school employees to have proof of vaccination against COVID-19, or an approved medical or religious exemption. Employees must provide evidence of such no later than October 4, 2021.
