T-Mobile USA, Inc. seeks Senior Engineers, Software in Bellevue, WA to Work with a team of other software developers to design, implement, and deploy software that meets customer's requirements, scale easily, remove the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and support deployment in highly available environments. Participate in the architecture and design of various software components focused on creating applications. Work independently on escalated issues and will prioritize, investigate, and resolve them with zero to minimal guidance from others. Work as a technical lead of their application and team. Provide Subject Matter Expertise in all operational application tasks involving the Varicent SPM commission applications, Middleware, and Cloud platforms. Protect and ensure the stability of the multiple compensation systems as well as maintain the integrity of the data they contain. Coordinate and prioritize all activities, including testing, implementation of system upgrades, enhancements, bug fixes, and compliance testing as necessary. Assess the impact of new requirements on an existing suite of complex applications. Perform design and analysis on business systems applications, systems interfaces, databases, reporting, or business intelligence systems. Conduct peer reviews to solicit feedback on materials created. Plan, facilitate, and participate in working sessions with cross-functional resources. Perform advanced data analysis and integrate database tools with MS Excel. Utilize Microsoft Word to produce clear, concise, and complete technical design and functional specification documentation. Work on employee and dealer commissioning in a wireless telecom environment. Proactively review and communicate changes to infrastructure and capabilities, assessing the risk. Conduct self-directed investigations into data irregularities and proactively identify and resolve potential system issues. Identify sources and trends of technical problems to prevent future occurrences. Serve as an escalation point for difficult problems and complex inquiries. Resolve day-today support issues ensuring effective and timely resolution. Resolve conflict and trace issues. Take ownership of issues, through root cause analysis and resolution. Telecommuting is permitted, but applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance. Experience and education requirements: PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent, and 5 years of relevant work experience. ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Applied Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or its foreign equivalent, and 3 years of relevant work experience. In addition, the following skills are required: Experience (1) Utilizing Varicent Sales Performance Management tool in all aspects to create components, calculations, migrations, saved imports, presenter reports, and webform development to implement new compensation capabilities for the organization following enterprise processes and SDLC (software development lifecycle) including experience in a production implementation leveraging Varicent RESTful APIs including HTTP verbs and parsing JSON/XML payloads for consumption and integration. Experience (2) Utilizing AWS Elastic Map Reduce, Autoscaling, AWS EMR Serverless, AWS Step Function, Apache Spark/Hive, and Scala to design, develop, and implement compensation and reporting solutions for national organizations. Experience (3) Creating AWS Glue jobs to prepare, move, and integrate the data from multiple data sources including S3 data, parquet files to Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle and Aurora/Postgres databases. Experience (4) Deploying AWS Lambda functions to create applications using scripting languages including Python and PowerShell for code execution optimization and to enable parallel shared access for file processing. Experience (5) Creating Gitlab projects and setting up access/permissions and CICD pipelines including SAST to automate deployments for high scale and highly critical systems. Experience (6) Leading at least five people in a team in different capacities (including developer, test, support, and audit), maintaining customer relationships, planning, and contributing to architecture design. Washington Pay Range: $190,486.00 - $199,900.00/year. The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience. At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year.
