The Master of Science in Information Systems program at the Foster School of Business has an outstanding opportunity for a Advisor and Student Services Specialist. The program is a one-year, work-compatible, accelerated master’s program designed to train current and future business leaders in information systems management. Leveraging Foster’s deep relationship with Seattle’s unique, dynamic, and innovative business community, MSIS students will gain hands on experience solving complex, unstructured business problems while learning executive management principles like operations, project management, and marketing.
The Advisor and Student Services Specialist (Counseling Services Coordinator) is responsible for the design and implementation of a variety of program activities and must make independent decisions that will support overall departmental goals and strategies with respect to students, admitted applicants, and alumni. This position has a high level of contact with a broad range of students. Counseling of students must take into consideration the student's academic, career and personal goals as well as the University and Program resources available. The Counseling Services Coordinator should be prepared to provide feedback on student satisfaction to the program Director, think strategically about the student experience and recommend program changes as needed.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree in education, social science, business or related field.
Three years of experience in an advising/counseling capacity in an educational or non-profit setting.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.

Working Environmental Conditions:
This position will have a set schedule, but may work varied days/times depending on program needs. The Foster MSIS program is work-compatible, offering classes on Monday/Wednesday evenings and 5-6 Saturdays each quarter. Semi-frequent evening and weekend work will be required when classes are in session and for program activities.
