Airlift Northwest (ALNW) is a UW Medicine entity which provides essential air medical transportation to patients throughout the WAMI region.
The ALNW OUTREACH COORDINATOR for CENTRAL WASHINGTON - PROGRAM OPERATIONS SPECIALIST will:
Implement ALNW outreach strategic plan in Western Washington. Analyze and develop plans for targeting of potential referral source providers and being measured on successfully getting referral source providers to request flights from ALNW.
Will be responsible for tracking outreach metrics within Western Washington.
Coordination and support for the outreach efforts of ALNW base staff.
The new position will work with the ALNW outreach team and be responsible for the referral development program as it relates to Western Washington. This will include the responsibility of analyzing patient flight requests in assigned market, identifying trends, and aligning with ALNW outreach strategies and initiatives.
Work closely with base staff by collaborating on outreach opportunities and tactics.
Responsibility for developing local systems and structure to support ALNW strategic outreach strategies and tactics.
Regularly communicate progress towards goals, feedback from requestors and staff, and overall performance of outreach in Western Washington.
Work with local staff to identify and staff community events.
Work with local staff to track all outreach activities in EMS Charts.
The new position will work closely with the ALNW Outreach Manager but will be expected to quickly work independently bringing his/her expertise in marketing and referral development to implement ALNW strategic outreach tactics locally.
ALNW depends on requests from pre-hospital and hospital agencies across Washington and SE Alaska. It is important to continue to develop relationships with requesting agencies to educate regarding ALNW capabilities and increase overall requests from all agencies. This position will have a direct impact on the number of patient transport requests ALNW receives as well as the number of AirCare memberships sold.
ALNW is critical to referrals to UW Medicine in quaternary care, some of the highest reimbursed care in all of UW Medicine. The communities ALNW serves depend on them to be a bridge to life saving care.
Schedule and attend group and one on one meetings with requestors and community leaders throughout the assigned region. This includes setting meetings with local clinical and management staff as well as the Medical Director and Associate Medical Director. Identify and represent Airlift Northwest at community events and education.
Implement outreach tactics in Western Washington. This includes analyzing ALNW outreach tactics and recommending strategies and changes based on the needs of the local community.
Analysis of market data using ALNW data sources and market data.
Using ALNW data to analyze current and potential requestor relationships. Additionally, identify local businesses to target for AirCare sales. Detailed targeting and tactics are necessary to preserve resources both human and financial.
Position will be responsible for identifying key requestor relationships and creating detailed plans to further develop these relationships.
Collaboration with local staff and management in managing outreach projects and regular communication with requestors.
Work with local staff to manage local outreach projects as necessary.
Coordinate with flight nurses and management to monitor progress on assigned outreach to local communities.
Organize attendance at local hospital trauma advisory boards, state trauma meetings, and other meetings pertinent to the mission.
Increasing call volume from varied requestors Western Washington markets as determined by business goals.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related
At least two years of experience in the process, flow, and operations of sales and outreach.
Experience in developing and analyzing prospect lists, cold calling, developing customer relationships, and identifying and meeting customer needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with CRM software.

Experience in direct sales desired. Experience in healthcare and/or medical transport preferred.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Out of the office on outreach visits, driving, flying, and meeting with outside organizations. Cubicle environment at ALNW offices. Participating in meetings with large and small groups of Physicians, Nurses, Medics, Forest Service, etc.…
This position requires a strategic, dynamic person with excellent speaking and presentation skills. As well as the ability to devise multiple tools to communicate on multiple channels to external providers.
