The Assistant Nurse Manager provides a role model for staff by demonstrating and documenting completion of the following: 1) implementation of safe nursing care 2) care planning 3) patient teaching 4) assessment and nursing diagnosis of patients 5) assist in development, maintenance and evaluation of systems to support nursing care delivery such as patient care documentation and emergency response procedures 6) act as a preceptor for new or experienced employees by assessing learning needs, developing, implementing, and monitoring learner plans and evaluating progress and 7) serve as unit charge nurse as assigned.

Position is full time, and located in the new UW Medicine Diabetes Institute on South Lake Union. Requires BSN, at least two years of current/recent nursing experience; leadership, supervisory or charge RN experience; outpatient experience, and experience with patients with diabetes preferred.
