The position is currently open for 100% FTE (40 hours per week) day shifts Monday – Friday.
The Pediatrics Clinic at HMC provides complete care for infants, children and teens. The clinic utilizes a multidisciplinary staff that is highly collaborative and supportive, working together to achieve the best patient outcomes possible. Under the direct supervision of the Clinic Manager, the ANM (RN3) oversees day-to-day clinical activities, supervises clinical staff (RN2, LPN, MA staff), and provides direction to and coordination of the work of other clinical and support staff. The ANM helps in the planning and implementation of desired changes to improve the delivery of patient care and development of clinical support staff. Additionally, the ANM takes accountability to help develop, guide and oversee Quality Improvement initiatives in conjunction with administrative and physician leadership (e.g. immunization registry and recall initiative, ADHD case management, high-risk patient care coordination, tracking patients on treatment for latent tuberculosis infection, etc.).
Clinical services provided include: general pediatric care ( well-child care and sick care); hearing and vision screening; immunizations for children from birth through age 21; health education and disease prevention; confidential teen services; injury prevention information; same-day appointments for sick children; developmental evaluations; books for children through the Reach out and Read (ROR) program; safety supplies (bicycle helmets) through Injury Free Coalition for Kids (IFKC) of Seattle; dental screening; and newly arrived refugee medical screening. Ancillary services provided through the clinic include: lactation consultant services; social work services; interpreter services for non-English speaking families; legal counseling through a medical-legal partnership; access to Harborview's Community House Calls program to coordinate care for immigrant and refugee families; and health care financial counseling. In addition, the Harborview Pediatrics Clinic provides specialty care through its associated Foster Care Clinic, Adolescent Medicine Clinic, mental health services (Psychiatry and Psychology), and traumatic brain injury (TBI) services. As a hospital-based pediatric clinic, the Harborview Pediatric Clinic has on-site access to laboratory, imaging (CT, ultrasound, X-ray), pharmaceutical, and other general specialty services.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN).Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington AND two years of professional nursing experience OR equivalent education/experience. Pediatric Nursing Experience in an outpatient setting.
Desirable Qualifications:
Prior experience in a nursing leadership role.
ICM experience.
Legal Requirement: Current license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
