UW Medical Center - Northwest has an outstanding opportunity for an Assistant Nurse Manager in our Adult Psychiatric Department. Night Shift, 12 hours per shift for 3 nights (36 hours) and 4 hours of administrative work totaling 40 hours per week. Full time.
The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) supports and collaborates with the Unit Manager in the day to day operations of their assigned unit (s). This individual must exemplify outstanding leadership skills, teamwork and be able to communicate in a collaborative manner with nursing staff, providers, ancillary staff, patients and family members. Must have current clinical practice expertise in the unit’s primary area of care delivery. A primary role of the Assistant Nurse Manager is bedside care coordination, care oversight of clinical nursing care, and mentorship of nursing staff to a higher level of performance. In conjunction with the Unit Manager, the ANM will be responsible for assuring that the unit provides nursing care according to organizational standards and expectations. Schedule is five days a week unless otherwise determined by departmental needs.
