The mission of Student Fiscal Services (SFS) is to achieve exceptional quality in the fiscal administration of student financial aid program and University receivables; and the provision of University cash management services. Key processes include billing and collecting tuition and fees, disbursing and reconciling financial aid, coordinating the loan origination process, coordinating the collection of receivables (loans, aid, and invoices), providing financial information to students and parents, educating students on personal finances, and supporting staff development.
Student Fiscal Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Budget/Fiscal Analyst.
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of reconciliations related to student finances. This position involves doing intensive research and analysis of accounting entries to ensure the accuracy of transactions on departmental budgets, general ledgers, and other record-keeping systems. This requires communication and coordination with internal and external customers, and taking corrective actions to resolve discrepancies. This position reports to the Manager of Student Fiscal Services Accounting Unit.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Budget Reconciliations – students’ receivables and other budgets
General Ledger reconciliations:
Bank Reconciliations (monthly):
Collection Agency account reconciliations:
Credit balance refunds (Weekly):
Process Improvement Initiatives for Student Fiscal Services:

REQUIRED
A Bachelor's Degree with major study in accounting, business administration, or related field and two years of work experience as a Fiscal Specialist, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
