The Business Analyst/User Advocate role interacts with many different roles including POC Leadership, Engineering, Customer Support and Stakeholders. This role is responsible for the business process documentation including business process decomposition, business rules and measurements for Oliver. This role will be leading groups to understand the business processes that are used by Provider agencies today in the social service sector to help inform the standard process. This role is responsible for assisting in user interface design and design sessions. The role will be in design sessions as a representative of the end users of Oliver. Lastly, this role is responsible for customer care including managing the IT support desk for Oliver, onboarding and training new users.
The Business Analyst will need to understand the complex social services landscape including the child welfare and runaway and homeless youth systems, the legacy case management software integrations, data analytics, visualization applications, legal, privacy, and security requirements as it pertains to the use and evaluation of PHI/PII data.
The ability of the individual in this position to successfully support and advance the POC Oliver solution will impact the ability of POC to continue their work in policy, practice, data, research/evaluation. This will have a direct impact on the reputation of POC, the School of Social Work, and the UW in general
Duties & Responsibilities
(50%) Business process decomposition, documentation, process modeling, business rules, and measurements to inform feature and product work design, prioritize, develop, communicate the Oliver product capabilities, and user stories in collaboration with engineering and all existing and potential members using the programmatic toolsets: Google Drive, Pivotal Tracker, Slack, Trello, Zendesk, and GitHub. Facilitating sessions with Oliver Providers, members and focus groups with youth for business process modeling and decomposition. Evaluate youth and family outcome data and recommend service delivery process and staffing training improvements and higher-level standards and derive new Oliver user stories.
(25%) Participate in the evaluation, user interface, design, adoption of the Child Welfare and Runaway and Homeless Youth differentiated Member/user experiences, business processes, business rules, events, data and forms. Follow team processes: Agile Project Management, User-Centered Design, DevOps, Continuous Integration/Deployment, and Test-Driven Deployment.
(25%) Customer care through management of Oliver Support Desk, onboarding and training new users and conducting demos of the product for potential users. Assist in maintaining Member user experiences and satisfaction and Oliver solution quality at optimum performance.
