Harborview Medical Center's Heart Institute has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time (90% FTE), day shift, CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER SUPERVISOR. The Cardiology Diagnostics Supervisor is accountable for directing the day-to-day operations of the cardiology diagnostics department, including the supervision of cardiac sonographers and electrocardiograph technicians. This position performs leadership functions related to standards of care delivery, daily operations, human resource management and/or management as delegated by and in collaboration with the Assistant Director for Cardiology Diagnostics front desk operations, Echocardiography and Electrocardiography Labs. Under general direction, the supervisor participates in developing the department’s operating budget and capital budget, plan and administration of department services, including clinical research and cardiac ultrasound education programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a training program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP),
AND
Current certification as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARMDS);
AND
Two years of laboratory experience as Cardiac Sonographer 2 or Cardiac Sonographer Specialist
OR
One year of laboratory experience as a Cardiac Sonographer Lead
OR
Equivalent education/experience.
DESIRED:
Three years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer 2 or Specialist.
