UW Medicine Contracting & Payer Relations has an outstanding opportunity for a Contracts Consultant. This is a part-time 60% FTE position. As the Contracts Consultant, you will be responsible for creating structural processes and procedures for healthcare contract documentation and recordkeeping, departmental processes, and organizational work products.
You will serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on a variety of of strategic, business development, and contracting initiatives to internal parties and departments.
In collaboration with the Contracting Program Manager and Contracting Compliance Manager, you will manage audits that affect the contract department (State Auditor's Office, OIC, Payer, OIG, Financial, etc.) and formal surveys (JCAHO certification, DOH licensing, etc.).
The Contracts Consultant will be the primary advisor to the Director of Contracting for contract regulatory compliance, governmental issues, position papers on legislation, business development, market intelligence, new product expansion, payer relations and partnerships, value based contracting, Financial Improvement Transformation initiatives, and other issues as they arise.
The Contracts Consultant will lead process improvement efforts as they related to the contracting department that affect both internal and external processes and procedures.
