The Department of Endodontics at the School of DENTISTRY is one of the premier clinical training programs for endodontists in the country. Our faculty, staff, and students have a teamwork approach to clinical care to ensure the patient has the best possible treatment experience. Under direct supervision, the Dental Assistant 1 will assist dentists or dental students in dental examinations and in the treatment of patients; assist faculty in the instruction of dental students; prepare patients, operate equipment, sterilize instruments, mix temporary treatment materials and assist in the performance of expanded dental duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of a training program for dental assistants; current certification as a dental assistant (CDA) or the ability to obtain same within six months; or six months of dental assistant experience OR equivalent education/experience.
DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
LEGAL REQUIREMENT: Registration with the State of Washington as a Dental Assistant.
