Our Nutrition Services department has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary/Hourly, Day Shift, Dietitian 2. This individual will provide Nutrition Care in specialized areas such as: critical care, burns, HIV/AIDS, Medical Specialties, International Medicine, where the patient population is medically and nutritionally complex or high risk. Additionally, this candidate will provide some nutrition education counseling for patients with complex nutrition prescriptions as well as participate in formal and informal instruction for health care teams and Dietetic Interns.
Competitive candidates will be familiar with enteral and parenteral nutrition and desire an opportunity to work with critically ill and acutely ill patients with a very collaborative team that is very supportive of nutrition interventions.

Areas of Responsibility:
Desired qualifications include ability to work with a diverse group of patients; Skilled in performing as a resource and expert in specialized area for nutrition to medical staff and patients and selecting appropriate method of feeding and sources of specific nutrient for individual patients based on age, state of health, cultural needs, and stage of development; Skilled in preparing and conducting formal teaching for the medical staff (MD's, RN's, HA's, etc.); and ability to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff both written and verbal. Additional requirements include knowledge of computer programming to record data (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree with major in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition or Food Service Administration; completion of American Dietetic Association approved dietetic education program; Registered Dietitian status; 24 months recent full-time experience working as a R.D required.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
Additional Requirements:
Must obtain CD and complete HMC Credentialing paperwork within 3 months of start date.
