The Odegaard Writing and Research Center (OWRC) has an outstanding opportunity for a Director. The Director of the Odegaard Writing and Research Center (OWRC) provides leadership for the OWRC, its Coordinator, and its 70+ student employees. This role includes managing and overseeing operations, assessing effectiveness of services, and collaboratively developing long-range plans and new programs. The Director also works with the Coordinator to mentor undergraduate and graduate tutors in writing center practice and research, and works with campus departments, faculty and other teaching and learning groups to design OWRC support services. The Director reports to the Divisional Dean of the Humanities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage, oversee, and develop staff and partner relationships, and the operation, administration, assessment and growth of the OWRC.
Organize and direct efforts to support writing across the UW-Seattle campus.
Work collaboratively with the Divisional Dean of the Humanities, the OWRC Advisory Board, and other relevant stake-holders.
Network off-campus.
