The University of Washington Medical Center's Cardiology department has an outstanding opening for a full-time, ELECTROCARDIOGRAPH TECHNICIAN 2 (ECG Tech 2). The person in this role will perform non-invasive cardiac diagnostic testing to include - 12 lead and 15 lead EKG’s, holter monitors, event monitors and stress testing.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Operates and troubleshoots EKG equipment to obtain resting electrocardiograms on adult and pediatric patients
  • Recognizes and troubleshoots patient or electrical artifact on EKG’s, prepare and instruct patients for holter and event monitoring, and analyzes the holter monitor data and create reports for physician interpretation
  • Provide training to nursing and medical staff outside of the department in the routine use of the EKG equipment
  • Maintains laboratory supplies, completion of daily paperwork and assists patients in the Regional Heart Center
  • Perform other duties as required

    High school graduation or equivalent AND one year of experience as an ECG Technician I AND certified in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation AND certified by the National Alliance of Cardiovascular Technologists OR certified within one year from date of hire.
