The Department of Health Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Temporary, Part-Time (80% FTE) Graphic Designer to support the training development activities of the Northwest Center for Public Health Practice. The Graphic Designer will primarily contribute to the Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) Toolkit project, and will additionally provide support for the design and delivery of online and in-person trainings and presentations. The duties of this role include, but are not limited to, designing and developing online and print-based materials, providing review and design recommendations for presentation slides, creating/adding graphics to existing and new training products.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Under the general direction of the E-Learning Manager, the Graphic Designer will:
• Work with content experts, Graphic and E-Learning Designer, and others on the E-Learning Team to design and develop online and print-based materials and the graphics that accompany them. (75%)
• Review slides for both online and in-person presentations, apply NWCPHP template, make design recommendations for the presentation, and create/add graphics as needed. (25%)
Requirements:
One year of applicable college-level training in graphics design, or equivalent art school training AND one year of experience as a Graphic Illustrator OR an equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
• Experience with graphic software such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign)
• Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities
• Excellent time management skills
Desired Qualifications :
• Experience editing websites.
