The clinic manager is responsible for overall administrative management of the Digestive Health Center procedure areas and clinics through operationalizing the medical center’s values, mission and goals. The Manager hires, supervises and mentors clinic staff in such a way to create effective teamwork, plans and implements programs to meet specific patient care needs; works to continually improve clinic operations and efficiency and ensures patient safety. Prepares, evaluates and manages financial reports and budget and is accountable for meeting LEM goals and performance outcomes.
This position is responsible for the overall administration of the largest and most complex clinics in the Ambulatory Care Division - employing 46 staff, 23 of whom are nurses. The position oversights - nurse administered conscious sedation, NORA site for anesthesia services, infection prevention, risk reduction, high level disinfection of endoscopic equipment, patient appointment access (second highest referred to department in the Medical Center), serves as a resource to endoscopic care at Eastside and HMC, revenue cycle from fee sheet development to charge submittal for FOB and procedures, new programs (currently ARNP, vascular surgery in the Bronch suite, Inflammatory Bowel program within the department0, all Bronchs done in the house other than the OR, interfaces with Division on their clinical trails research conducted in the department.
Minimum of 4 years of management experience in a medical setting, basic computer knowledge (Word and Excel), EMR proficiency, demonstrated leadership experience, working collaboratively with medical leadership and staff, demonstrated ability to manage the financial performance of the clinic, demonstrated knowledge of ensuring compliance with billing policies, demonstrated ability in process improvement to optimize clinic flow and operations, demonstrated interpersonal skills in a manner which enhances communication, promotes conflict resolution, and facilities cooperation and collaboration to meet goals, .demonstrated skill in Human Resources management such that staff are productive and function well as a team. Ability to have tough conversations as needed, counsel staff and utilize corrective disciplinary process as needed, knowledge of The Joint Commission, DOH and other regulatory agency standards, and demonstrated excellence in customer service in daily interactions with patients, family members and medical staff.
Requires a BSN plus 6-8 years of experience in a medical clinic. MSN desired.
