HMC Telecommunications has an outstanding opportunity for a full time alternate shift HOSPITAL OPERATOR - LEAD.
The Day Shift Lead Operator provides training for all current and new operators. This will include preparing curriculum, writing manuals, maintaining operator training and procedural environment in the operator computer application (Infinity). Typical work also includes assigning, instructing and checking the work of the telephone operators to ensure departmental, institutional and emergency procedures are followed.
Duties include:
•Maintaining and writing training manuals and continuing training for the operators(including new staff) and other support material;
•Set up, update and maintain operator training accounts within the Infinity system;
•Monitors system metrics and reports data to manager to assist in determining training
effectiveness;
•Provide training for all new operators as well as reviews for current staff.
•Work with the vendor to resolve software issues. Implement fix or facilitate for vendor;
•Set up, update and maintain all client accounts and forms for alarms and emergencies;
•Set up, update and maintain operator directory framework;
•Configure keyboards, monitors, printers and computer stations to interface with operator software;
•Set up and maintain system, service and transfer lists within system (including dialstrings and other dialing configurations); run reports and import/export directory data.
This position also performs the duties of a telephone operator. Duties include:
•Answering and routing of hospital calls to switchboard;
•Dispatching for emergency communications (including Mass Casualty Incidents and Code Blue);
•Answering for MEDCON calls;
•Monitoring alarm panels and computers.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, or GED Certificate; AND one year of experience as a Telephone Communications Operator, or equivalent. Six months of additional qualifying experience may substitute for required education.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
