UW Medicine Human Resources has an outstanding full time opportunity for a HR Assistant Senior / Recruiting Coordinator.
Our HR Assistant Senior (recruiting coordinator) is responsible for supporting the nursing recruitment function at Harborview Medical Center. This position will work closely with two nurse recruiters and another HR Assistant Senior in a fast paced recruiting environment. This includes acting as the initial point of contact for external employment inquiries, scheduling of interviews, verifying credentials of applicants, and coordinating new hire onboarding. The successful candidate must provide superior customer service to our job applicants, newly hired employees, as well as to our internal customers. Key functions include:
Enter new hire transactions in our Workday HR/Payroll system. These transactions are critical in ensuring our employees are compensated accurately and timely.
Coordinate all necessary communications, paperwork, and processes for newly hired employees to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
Perform licensure verification on job applicants to confirm candidates meet requirements of position applying for.
Assist in the reference checking process for selected candidates.
Develop close working relationships with the two nurse recruiters and the other HR Assistant Senior to effectively support the nurse recruiting function.
Work to identify and implement new processes and procedures to streamline the recruitment function to maximize efficiencies.
Respond to inquiries regarding policy and procedure information to applicants, staff, and leadership.
Generate metrics reports for internal use, meetings, and leadership distribution.
Coordinate various nursing recognition events.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Effective communication and service excellence skills.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word and Excel.
Flexibility in meeting workload fluctuations.
REQUIREMENTS:
Four years of office experience including two years of increasingly responsible experience in a human resource or related setting OR equivalent education/experience.
