This RESIDENCY IS FOR NURSES WITHOUT PREVIOUS ICU EXPERIENCE and will take both new graduate RNs and RNs with experience from a different specialty. The training program is a blended learning program that consists of experiential and immersive on-line learning modules using a program called Essential of Critical Care Orientation (ECCO), developed by AACN, in-person skills/education days, and a preceptorship in the ICU. Ideal candidates for this ICU orientation option should be highly motivated self-starters that are comfortable learning with both ONLINE and in-person modalities. Our ICU Departments are looking for excellent nurses to join their team. The ICU units include:
Surgical ICU. This is a 14 bed unit. Patient population includes direct recovery for ICU surgical cases and liver transplants. Full time nights available.
Cardiothoracic ICU ~ This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population includes cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, vascular, heart and lung transplant, MCS, VV, ECLS, and TAVR.
CCU ~ This is a 17 bed unit. Patient population includes all cardiology patients and Mitraclip patients, heart failure and post MI cardiology patients.
Medical/Oncology ICU. This is a 24 bed unit. Patient population on this unit includes medical ICU cases and Bone Marrow Transplant. Full time day/night rotation available. Oncology experience highly preferred.
ICU Resource Team ~ This residency is for nurses without prior ICU experience, have at minimum two years of acute care nursing experience, and at minimum two years floating experience

Legal Requirement:
Must have Active Status license to practice as a registered nurse in the State of Washington. BSN strongly preferred. ACLS required. May accept ACLS class registration date. Two years recent acute telemetry nursing experience preferred but not required.
