The APP will be responsible for providing efficient, safe and high quality care to our vulnerable poly-trauma patients. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily rounds and perioperative care, progress notes, discharge/interim summaries, preoperative assessments where appropriate, and collaborating with hospital medicine colleagues on complex patients. Under general administrative supervision of the Director of Advanced Practice Providers, the APP provides clinical expertise to patients and their families, is a resource person for health care providers, and participates in research and teaching programs. Work is performed in the inpatient units with decision-making responsibility under the guidance of attending physicians in Hospital Medicine and General Surgery and/or the Associate Medical Director.

Experienced APP in surgery or hospital medicine preferred; but new graduate will be considered based on training and other qualifications.
Nurse Practitioner:
Masters or Doctorate Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing;
and Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges;
and
National certification as an acute care Nurse Practitioner;
and BLS certification.
OR
Physician Assistant:
Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington with national certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA);
and BLS certification.
Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions.
