UW-IT is the central IT organization for the University of Washington, providing technology solutions to all three campuses, UW medical centers and global research operations. UW-IT collaborates with University partners to advance teaching, learning, innovation and discovery at the UW. UW-IT is currently looking for a resource manager who will support the UW-IT work on Finance Transformation, the University’s large scale project to modernize the its finance operations, business systems and processes. The position is a leading role in the newly established UW-IT FT program (UWIT-F).
UW-IT has an outstanding opportunity for a Operations Manager.
The Operations Manager position combines program and project management, supervisory management and training and business analysis functions. This new role is a critical team member who will help shape the direction, planning and resourcing activities to drive an efficient and effective program. The Manager will define the resourcing and resource management strategy for the program. Manage and develop technology skills planning and development, technical resource allocation, team building, professional development, and organization development. The position is the intake for new hires, is responsible for onboarding new team members, introducing them to the program, and providing training on current business processes and teams they will be supporting. Additionally, this position will need to develop and refine the onboarding process and material as the program progresses. This position will report to the program director.
This position requires an experienced operations manager to support the UWIT-F program currently in the early stages of an enterprise-wide initiative to replace the existing financial systems with a modern, integrated system that will provide functionality to support UW finance needs. The outcome of UWIT-F will be highly visible at all levels of the university and the state.
REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

The UW Finance Transformation is a multi-year initiative and one of the largest finance system projects in Washington state. Employment supporting UWFT is contingent on funding and performance.
This is an essential position and is required to report to work remotely when UW suspends operations.
