The HARBORVIEW HAND, FOOT AND ANKLE CLINICS have an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME PATIENT CARE COORIDNATOR SUPERVISOR (Day Shifts). The Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) Supervisor is an integral part of the leadership team and provides excellent customer service to patients, families, referring providers and staff. With delegated authority, the PCC Supervisor supervises Patient Care Coordinators, Patient Service Specialists, and other assigned staff within the Hand, Foot and Ankle Clinics.

• Interview and recommend applicants for open positions
• Responsibility for onboarding new employees
• Assure compliance and appropriate intake, referral management, authorization and OR Scheduling by PCC staff
• Maintain skills as PCC, monitor performance of PCCs and provide clinical backup to PCC staff
• Supervise all aspects of scheduling, EPIC referral management/standards and patient flow through the non-clinical aspects of the clinic
• Be an active participant in Referral User Group and PSS Lead/Supervisor meetings
• Coordinate provider schedules and templating, including monitoring provider availability with an emphasis on availability
• Ensure compliance with ambulatory division standards for scheduling, linking appointments, telephone service standards, referral process coordination, financial pre-authorization and financial clearance, and other standard operating procedures
• Coordinate with the Contact Center to streamline the appointing process and workflows with the Contact Center and the Referral Coordinators
• Ensure timely charge capture processes within the clinics
• Work with Orthopedics department staff, UWP, clinic staff, providers, PSS staff, coders and Charge Capture staff to ensure compliance with hospital charge capture standards, including oversight of e-fee sheet process
• Analyze open encounter reports and inform physicians of outstanding open records that need to be completed
• Supervise Patient Care Coordinators and Patient Service Specialists. Supervise Program Coordinators and their functions of referral coordination and L&I patient  management
• Prepare/maintain policies and procedures for PCC and PSS functions as well as those concerning referrals, charge capture, maintenance of office equipment, as needed
• Lead team to demonstrate service excellence in: reception, arrival and discharge activities; scheduling appointments; telephone service and call routing; referral process coordination; surgical scheduling; charge capture processes, including implementation of Cash Drawer; other delegated duties to maintain clinic operations
• Attend AACS management meetings and other meetings helpful to the workflow of the clinics

Experience in complex, fast-paced health care setting, 2-4 years supervisory experience. REQUIREMENTS: A Bachelor's Degree in a medically related or public relations field AND two years of experience as a Patient Care Coordinator OR equivalent education/experience.
