The UWMC Psychiatry Unit has an outstanding opening for a Patient Services Specialist Supervisor (Part-Time Temporary/Hourly, Day Shifts). Under the general direction of the Nurse Manager, the Patient Services Specialist Supervisor (Also known as Operations Supervisor) is responsible for a variety of supervisory and administrative non-clinical department functions. The PSS Supervisor's primary report is to the Nurse Manager. In addition, there is a secondary reporting relationship to the Assistant nurse managers of the unit.
The PSS Supervisor is responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of staff in the Patient Services Specialist class series and/or other assigned staff. The PSS Supervisor is also responsible for completing, coordinating and monitoring of:
• Staff scheduling systems
• Payroll and timekeeping systems
• Educational and human resources data tracking systems
• Other systems that support the Nurse Manager.
The PSS Supervisor takes a proactive role in the efficient operations of the unit. Additional responsibilities include:
• Relief PSS coverage
• Customer service
• Supplies, equipment and facilities management
• Quality assurance and improvement
• Management, collection and reporting of data.
Desired Qualifications:
• Must have 2 years experience experience on an Inpatient Psychiatric unit interfacing with patients.
• 1 year experience using Kronos/Workday or systems alike.
