Haborview Medical Center's Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Program (CORP) has an outstanding opportunity for a temporary/hourly, day shift, PHYSICAL THERAPIST 2. This is an outpatient PT position working with primarily, a neurologically involved patient population in a comprehensive team setting. In addition to outpatients with acute rehab needs following stroke, traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury, CORP also works closely with the Amputee Clinic and is a part of the outpatient team for amputee rehab.
Under general supervision, this individual will assess, plan, administer, evaluate and provide safe physical therapy care. This position is designed to meet the needs of patients on acute and intensive care units. This will include progression of treatment goals and patient and family education. The PT2 will assess and treat a patient caseload ranging from routine to complex patient problems and situations. This PT will also collaborate with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care from admission to discharge, and implement treatment programs, which include the use of physical agents, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and functional training.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized school of physical therapy, or completion of a Physical Therapy program
OR
Equivalent education/experience.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT:
Current Washington State Physical Therapist license with the Department of Health.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Possess physical ability to move patients and equipment.
