We have 24/7 in-house: Residents, Attending Generalist OB’s and Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialists, OB Anesthesia. UWMC has a 50+ bed Neonatal ICU. Pediatric and NICU Attendings and Residents are onsite 24/7.
We staff according to AWHONN standards. Nurse patient ratios are assigned by acuity and can be 1 RN : 3,4,5, very occasionally 6 patients (mother = 1 patient, Baby = 1 patient).
Our Clinical Educator will support your onboarding and continued staff development to enhance your transition into this exciting and challenging department. Our Clinical Nurse Specialist initiates and supports evidence-based nursing practice and nursing practice excellence through process improvements, in cooperation with our Local practice Council of RNs from L&D, Mother Baby and Antepartum.

Position is 97.5% nights and requires at least 2 years current/recent Mother-Baby nursing experience, BSN preferred.
