Harborview Rehabilitation Therapies and Clinics has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time, day shift, PROGRAM COORDINATOR. Under supervision of the Acute Rehabilitation Therapy Manager, this individual is responsible for a variety of administrative and financial non-therapy functions. These responsibilities include service, operations/finance, data collection, and reporting. This position will also be responsible for independently performing administrative, work such as projecting, monitoring and providing executive secretarial support to the acute care leadership team and staff, along with divisional director, managers & staff as determined appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and coordinate special projects including but not limited to those related to therapy order management, staff and patient rounding, timekeeping/scheduling for therapy staff, productivity, clinical equipment ordering and monitoring of program activities in relation to established goals within program parameters
Determines variances from program standards
Attends regular meetings with Acute Rehabilitation Therapy manager to ensure consistency of processes
Provides administrative support to the ART workgroup leadership team and staff in such areas as coordinating and scheduling meetings, managing databases, and developing statistical data reports
Manages relevant databases, promotes security of information along with maintaining and auditing data to ensure quality control of systems
Develops and maintains systems to ensure confidentiality and integrity of patient records in compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and standards
Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of patient privacy rights. Maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, or other sensitive materials and information in printed, electronic or verbal form, which may jeopardize the privacy of patients
Accesses and uses the minimum necessary patient identifiable information to perform job responsibilities and duties and only for authorized purposes

REQUIREMENTS:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty
OR
equivalent education/experience.
PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS:
Two years of experience in a patient care setting
Understanding of the role Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, and Recreational Therapy play in the care of patients in an acute care setting
Knowledge and competency in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to work independently and as a team member as the circumstances warrent
Understanding of medical terminology particularly associated with rehabilitation therapy
DESIRED:
Bachelors degree highly desired
Basic financial and accounting skills
1-2 years experience working with rehabilitation therapists
Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment
