Finance & Business Services has an outstanding opportunity for a Program Operations Analyst to be responsible for minor capital project data management and analysis with primary focus on supporting the Minor Capital and Resource Conservation Program. Will work closely with the Assistant Director for Capital Investments; Minor Capital Program Manager; Operations, Maintenance and Construction Managers to develop project business cases within the framework of the 2 year and 10 year plans. Use a proactive and positive business approach focused on meeting current and future needs where data and knowledge derived from data will play a critical role in campus planning and decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Apply working technical knowledge of facilities management and construction processes to gather, analyze, prioritize and report maintenance/operations and capital project scope, schedule and budget data.
• Use advanced features of applications such as Microsoft Excel, SQL Server, Access analysis tools, and/or other similar applications to extract and analyze large volumes of data, to include formatting to suit various audiences.
• Use UW Facility Services system tools including, for example, FACMAN, to input, extract and download system data for analysis.
• Work collaboratively with process partners, peers and leaders. Oversee and deliver data extraction and analysis to the Minor Capital team and leadership.
• Use detailed knowledge of data mining within UW Facility Services administrative tools such as AIM, PMWeb and Project Tracker; interpret and use data to produce viable and accurate project reports.
• Work collaboratively and in support of senior leadership across UW Facility Services, and ability to partner with other analysts and program administrators.
• Develop reports and present data as assigned.
• Work with team to identify gaps in business processes and implement process improvements.
Requirements include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in operations, finance, accounting, business or related.
• Three years’ experience administering and/or managing facilities business systems or programs.
• Demonstrated experience in gathering, analyzing and presenting capital facility asset and project information originating from multiple, complex organizations, using basic statistical methods where needed.
• Demonstrated experience in property management, facilities management, construction and/or capital procurement processes with an emphasis on capital project needs assessment, project scope development and project execution management and/or administration.
•Demonstrated experience using advanced spreadsheet, database, and other technology applications for financial and administrative purposes.
• Working knowledge of monitoring expenditure cycle times, spending patterns and forecasting.
• Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analysis skills.
• High degree of professionalism, integrity and ownership needed; must be customer-committed and results-oriented, innovative, creative, highly motivated, and team-oriented.
• Experience with Lean or other process improvement technics highly desirable.
• Computer skills: highly proficient in a variety of financial and database management software applications including Excel, Access, and SQL Server Visual Studio. Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite of application including desktop and Office365 version.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.
