The Cardiovascular Health Research Unit (CHRU) within the Division of General Internal Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a 100% FTE Program Operations Specialist. This Program Operations Specialist will work among a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, research and administrative staff managing grants and contracts for the CHRU's various ongoing projects. This position will work directly with the CHRU Manager of Program Operations, co-directors and principal investigators and will be responsible for post award technical budget and fiscal analysis, evaluation, interpretation and reporting using sponsor, university and departmental policies and procedures.
The purpose of this position is oversight and administration of a subset of grants and contracts in the Cardiovascular Health Research Unit (CHRU) with over $10M annual expenditures. The position is responsible for providing strategic post-award administration and reporting for more than 8 faculty members within the Unit, ensuring compliance with budget and fiscal policies, procedures, monitoring, and reporting for research grants and contracts. The Post Award Grant Specialist exercises independent judgment.
