The Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems has an outstanding opportunity for a part time 50%FTE, Program Operations Specialist. This position is a program specialist for a new federally funded grant entitled Combatting the Opioid Crisis in Rural and Underserved WA State Correctional Facilities. The UW School of Nursing has a major subcontract for this work and this position will manage the operations, logistics, training workshops and administrative support for this program, and work closely with the grant manager at the Department of Corrections.
Responsibilities
This position will oversee operations for the UW part of this program, ensuring that activities, logistics and administration support the goals and aims of the grant. He/she will develop procedures, establish tracking to meet timelines, obtain equipment supplies and technology, arrange access and licenses, establish and maintain records, ensure compliance, and establish effective lines of communication. He/she will assist with budget and resource management.
The individual in this position will coordinate and support training workshops for students and preceptors, to include managing logistics, coordinating with trainers and mentors, ensuring technology sites and training materials are set up, and making sure all follow up is completed and documented.
The Program Operations Specialist will measure accomplishment of deliverables, prepare progress reports and materials for invoicing, contribute to dissemination of results, and participate in obtaining additional funding.
There are no lead or supervisor responsibilities.

Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Education, social work, psychology, health sciences AND Four to five years of related experience
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.
