Procurement Services has an outstanding opportunity has an outstanding opportunity for a Project Manager. The Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Services Project Manager will provide project management services to lead both unit and organizational level initiatives to assure their successful completion, coordinate and plan communication strategies including targeted outreach and general informational events to engage campus stakeholders, and perform data analytics and work with the Enterprise Services Data Group to design customized reports as needed.
More specifically, this role will be responsible for managing and planning, cross-team coordination and collaboration, objective setting, and execution of deliverables. In order to be successful, the incumbent will need to exhibit excellent organizational and project leadership skills. Additionally, the role will require strong analytical acumen, broad awareness of key organizational objectives and an ability to prioritize multiple timelines and competing goals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Project Management
•Create and maintain detailed work plans in support of initiatives/timelines/deliverables
•Utilize project management software tools to create reports and dashboards to demonstrate progress for individual initiatives
•Proactively identify potential risks, dependencies, and obstacles which may hinder successful completion of deliverables and achievement of project goals
•Monitor and evaluate specific roadmaps, keeping Procurement Services leadership and staff informed of scheduled updates and framing associated decision points and project outcomes
•Manage resources and work stream scope to the project plan
•Engage internal and external stakeholders and process partners as needed in accordance with the project plan
Marketing and Outreach
•Utilize SpendCube and other reports to form strategy on campus outreach to proactively engage campus departments after an award of funding, as well as provide issue resolution and training.
•Plan, manage and coordinate the Procurement Services Forum or other events to provide periodic update to campus
•Work with the Procurement Services training team to provide periodic updates and enhancement on Procurement Services website
•Partner with contract managers to provide an enhanced support model to the campus in a complex sourcing event
Reporting design and data analytics
•Work with the Enterprise Services Data Group or other data owners to design reports based on the needs and requirements of the Strategic Sourcing and Contracting Services group
•Utilize various reports and informatics to help drive strategies and decisions

Required Qualifications:
•Bachelors Degree and five years experience as a project manager of complex projects including demonstrated ability to create, implement, and manage small and large complex projects within a team environment.
•Ability to utilize disciplined project management methodologies and tools, such as project management systems, issue tracking, risk management, and requirements management systems; ability to develop efficient project procedures and quality control methods
•Experience communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders, including customers and key process stakeholders
•Ability to manage a diverse range of activities in a very visible and pressured environment, exercising independent judgment in resolving problems.
•Fundamental understanding about data and reporting structures, ability to utilize pivot tables and experience performing data visualization
•Experience communicating with senior leadership and a diverse set of business or academic stakeholders
•Demonstrated excellent written/oral communication skills, technical documentation skills, user liaison skills, and personal interaction abilities.
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.
Desired Qualifications:
•PMP Certification
•Experience utilizing Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Project or other project management tools, Tableau or other data visualization tools
