UW Facility Services’ Sustainability Plan has an opportunity open for a Temporary, Part-Time Project Manager (PM).
This role will provide project management support for the UW Sustainability Plan.
The temporary Project Manager will coordinate working groups across the UW campus to deliver content for the tri-campus sustainability plan. This temporary appointment will report to the UW Sustainability Director and support the Executive Committee, led by the Vice President of Facilities. The position will schedule meetings, track follow up and actions from plan content working groups, coordinate with a technical writer, work with the communications department and manage all incoming questions about the UW Sustainability Plan.
Responsibilities:
Project Management (80%)—Manage project timeline, schedule and facilitate committee meetings, develop presentations for stakeholder meetings, track progress with content development, coordinate with a student outreach coordinator and Communications Manager. Provide project reporting to Executive Committee, Environmental Stewardship Committee, and sponsors.
Communications (20%) – Review and edit documents, manage approvals from Executive Committee.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of relevant experience.
• Project management experience within university setting, working with senior leadership and faculty, knowledge of sustainability programs and issues within higher education.
• Experience with process improvement techniques and excellent written communication skills.
• Experience with facilitation.
