The Foster School has an outstanding opportunity for a Recruiting and Admissions Specialist to support the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) program.
MSIS is a self-sustaining graduate degree program geared toward training future business leaders who can bridge the gap between business and technology. The Recruiting and Admissions Specialist will report to the Program Director for MSIS and supports the program’s admissions strategy and initiatives as determined by the Assistant Director – Admissions and Alumni Relations. The position will interact regularly with other staff, faculty, and prospective students in a wide range of advising and administrative tasks.
We are searching for a motivated individual that can work in a flexible environment and is capable of working independently and exercising independent judgement. This position requires strong people skills and knowledge of university procedures, rules, systems, and policies. The person in this position must be able to communicate effectively with prospective students and applicants with widely varying academic backgrounds, work experiences, and nationalities. The Recruiting and Admissions Specialist will administer MSIS recruiting activities and events and should be available evenings and weekends, as required.

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except where there are legal requirements such as license/certification/registration.

The Recruiting and Admissions Specialist must offer quick follow-up to inquiries via e-mail and phone, and will often meet one-on-one with prospective students who drop in the office without an appointment. He or she must be available to work evenings and weekends as required, and to occasionally travel outside of Washington State.
