The RN will use his/her knowledge and experience in the diagnosis and treatment of reproductive endocrinology and infertility for both the female and male to:
Provide Patient Education and Counseling for the patient and partner.
Coordinate and manage patient flow through cycles of ovulation induction, artificial insemination (AI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and frozen embryo transfer (FET).
Take responsibility in receiving, organizing, and communicating laboratory, radiology, and other test results to physicians and patients.
Clearly document patient interactions, course and plan of care.
Collaborate with other team members through open communication to assure continuity of patient care and to meet patient care needs.
Provide emotional support to patients throughout their evaluation and treatment.
Initiate appropriate referrals for patients as needed.
Contribute to the establishment and implementation of goals for the Division through staff meetings and other activities.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in our field through active membership in and attendance of meetings for national organizations, such as American Society of Reproductive Medicine.
