School Of Dentistry has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Scientist 1.
The Department of Oral Health Sciences (OHS) brings together faculty from different ends of the dental and oral health research spectrum into a single department that has expertise ranging from the modern experimental life sciences through the public health and behavioral sciences. OHS faculty teach in the pre-doctoral dental curriculum and offer the School of Dentistry’s only MS / PhD graduate degree program. The graduate program also offers a DDS-PhD dual degree track as well as an MS degree track for dental hygienists.
The Department of Oral Health Sciences is seeking a full-time Research Scientist. The successful candidate will function as the on-site lab manager. This individual will be responsible for evaluating, selecting and applying scientific techniques or procedures to assignments with clear and specific objectives. In addition, the candidate must be available to work a flexible schedule to accommodate research experiments.
This position must be able to work under limited supervision, demonstrating the ability to work independently on an NIH funded research project that is investigating the mechanisms underlying alcohol addiction.
