The Gerner Lab in the Department of Immunology at the UW School of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Scientist 4
The RS4 will support research projects focusing on studying the immune system with advanced imaging tools (such as intravital 2-photon microscopy, multiparameter confocal imaging, and flow cytometry). The main goal of the Gerner Lab’s research is to understand how immune cell trafficking, immune organ architecture, and localized intercellular communications influence immune responses to vaccines, infections or during cancer development. In addition, the lab is developing novel image analysis tools to better understand cellular organization in various tissues. The purpose of this RS4 position is to make substantial contributions to one, or several, of these and other related studies in order to promote a better understanding of how immune responses are generated in vivo.
