The mission of the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Washington is to provide high quality medical and surgical vision care for patients, develop new knowledge and treatments for eye diseases through clinical and basic research, and prepare the next generation of physicians and vision scientists to meet 21st century challenges in ophthalmology and vision research.
The Department of Ophthalmology currently has an outstanding opportunity for a RESEARCH SCIENTIST/ENGINEER 2. The successful candidate will apply standard techniques to research assignments including: evaluation, selection, and application on big data and data science using cloud infrastructure.
Research:
Study of large clinical databases for novel associations and hypothesis generation.
Research Project Purpose:
Translation of cutting edge data science and Big Data techniques into clinical computational ophthalmology.
