Emergency Medicine (EM) has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Scientist Engineer II to join the Emergency Medicine laboratory investigating the blood coagulation responses to critical illness and injury. The goal of this research is to develop new knowledge of how the blood responds to injury and illness and to develop more effective resuscitation strategies for this very challenging group of patients. In particular, this position will focus on current efforts to understand crosstalk between inflammation and coagulation, including discovery and quantification of post-translational oxidative modification of coagulation proteins and the effects of these modifications on blood coagulation function.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
