The Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time Research Scientist/Engineer – Assistant.
The Research Scientist Assistant will perform laboratory research work in support of studies on syphilis vaccine discovery and T. pallidum transcriptomics. The overall goal of the research is to find new vaccine candidates for syphilis, and to test existing vaccine candidates in the rabbit model of syphilis.

REQUIREMENTS:
Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration.

Frequent exposure to laboratory animals. Although animal handling requires the use of respirator/mask, people with a known allergy to rabbit fur are discouraged to apply.
