This is a temporary Fixed Duration Appointment, benefits-eligible, for approximately 9 months. Hours will begin part-time 20 hours per week from Hire (September, or as soon as possible) through February 29, 2020. Hours will increase to full-time from March 1, 2020 until July 1, 2020 (percent of salary will increase proportionate to FTE). |

The Allen School has an outstanding opportunity for a Research Study Coordinator. This is a part-time temporary position from hire through February 2020, increasing to full-time from March 2020 until July 2020.
The Make4All research lab in the Allen School focuses on many areas of inclusion. The Research Study Coordinator will help with a study of discrimination and other stressors and forms of unfair treatment experienced by undergraduate students, with particular focus on those in engineering and computer science. Both self-administered survey data (electronically collected baseline and EMA), passive sensing data (e.g., Fitbits, phones), and interview data are collected in this study.
Working under limited supervision, the Research Study Coordinator will perform study coordination, subject recruitment, assist in study design, IRB related management, and data collection work. If the coordinator has the background to do so, there is also the possibility of database and server management. A person need not have experience with all of these but does need to be a quick learner, attentive to detail, and capable of maintaining oversight of various project logistics and activities. Instruction will be available to provide needed training and ongoing consultation with challenges that may arise will be provided. This position will report to the faculty sponsor/Principal Investigator.

The data collection goal for the study is 200-250 participants. The data collection period ramps up in the 3 weeks preceding the Spring quarter (when hours increase to full-time), and ramps down in the three weeks after the end of finals. During this period, the study coordinator will:
