The Division of Dermatology in the Department of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time Research Study Coordinator 1.
Incumbents perform routine scientific work, evaluating, selecting and applying standardized scientific or procedures and techniques to assignments with clear, specific objectives; mainly statistical analysis of data on a cohort of Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) patients. Incumbents also perform clinic logistical work, coordinating the patient’s interaction with the research. For training and development purposes, assignments may include some work that is typical of a higher level.
Knowledge: Knows the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of cancer biology; continues development of technical expertise and knowledge through experience and application.
Direction received: Reports directly to the research lab manager. Supervisor screens assignments for unusual or difficult problems and selects techniques and procedures to be applied on non-routine work. Receives close supervision on new aspects of assignments.
