UW Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Service Line Administrator, Neurosciences Institute (NSI). This individual is a member of the integrated NSI Leadership team (Department Chairs, Department Director, the SLA, and Medical Directors as appropriate who are jointly responsible for the successful development, growth and strategic integration of the Neurosciences’ Services across UW Medicine. Specific duties of the SLA include both operational and administrative leadership and oversight. Administrative leadership responsibilities include ensuring the development and implementation of the Service Line strategic vision, strategic plan and associated business plans in partnership with the System clinical and administrative leadership. Operational oversight responsibilities include ambulatory sites at HMC, UWMC-Montlake and UWMC-NW campuses. Coordinated oversight responsibilities include inpatient units at HMC, UWMC-Montlake, UWMC-Northwest, VMC and ambulatory sites at VMC. Additional responsibilities include identifying and monitoring key Service Line targets and metrics to be reported to both clinical and administrative leadership.
Provides leadership and facilitation for strategic program planning and implementation of the approved UW Medicine Strategic Plan related to Neurosciences’ Services and the UW Medicine Patients Are First goals in these areas. The SLA also completes key liaison activities with UW Medicine entities, Strategic Partners and other affiliated parties. Completes new program development/expansion plans and coordinates marketing and physician outreach in messaging campaigns related to NSI Services working with Strategic Marketing & Communications and Strategic Outreach Departments
The SLA reports administratively to the Office of the President, UW Medicine Hospitals & Clinics. The SLA is accountable to the Chairs and Department Directors of Neurology and Neurological Surgery, and to the UWM Executive Directors for ensuring service line strategic goals and targets are met and all sites meet UW Medicine standards.
