The University of Washington Medical Center has an outstanding opportunity for a part-time (90% FTE), day shift, SOCIAL WORKER 2, LICSW. This position will primarily support services in the Pain Clinic.
The Center for Pain Relief is a state-of-the-art, outpatient clinic that provides comprehensive pain evaluations and inter-professional treatment services for patients with difficult to treat and complex persistent pain. This position supports the team and patients/caregivers by ensuring that the psychosocial and tangible needs of the patient are met, including initial and ongoing assessment of psychosocial functioning, assisting the patient and caregivers with resources that help manage care and treatment, brief therapeutic interventions, group facilitation, and collaborating with team members in ongoing care planning. The position will also provide social work services to other clinics as needed. The position reports to the UWMC Social Work & Care Coordination Department.

REQUIREMENTS:
A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education AND two years of full-time professional social work experience in a health-care setting eligible to begin social work practicum instruction for the School of Social Work.
OR
Equivalent education/experience.
SW2 LEGAL REQUIREMENT:
Within 90 days of hire must hold the following credentials issued by the state of Washington:
Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
DESIRED:
Experience with CBT, CPT and group facilitation
Clinical experience in a mental health setting or practice
