UW Medicine Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a Student Assistant in Inventory Control. Reporting to UW Medicine System Inventory Control Manager, the Student Assistant with Inventory Control will be responsible for the following duties:

Optimization of multiple par (supply storage) locations, to include, acute care, procedural, and case cart locations. Par optimization involves:
  • Analytical review of historical usage
  • Spatial optimization evaluation
  • Compose recommendation for appropriate supply levels and organization
  • Implement reorganization plan in designated storage locations

    Optimize supply storage in the perpetual inventory
  • Reorganize shelf storage
  • Provide recommendations for space maximization and implement plan

    Other duties as assigned

    Requirement:
    Must be a student currently enrolled at the University of Washington

    Employment Eligibility:
    In accordance with UW Employment and Administrative Policies, Chapter 104, Student Employees, to hold an appointment in one of the covered student job titles a student must be enrolled at the University of Washington and meet the following minimum enrollment requirements (not including correspondence credits):
  • Undergraduate students - 6 credits
  • Graduate and professional students - 4 credits
  • Ph.D. candidates working on dissertations - 2 credits
  • Granted "on leave" status
