UW Medicine Supply Chain Management has an outstanding opportunity for a Student Assistant in Operations & Logistics. Reporting to HMC Medical Stores Manager, the Student Assistant with Operations and Logistics will be responsible for the following duties:

Workflow productivity & time analysis
  • Job shadow primary Unit Supply Tech
  • Compile workflow data into excel format
  • Evaluate impact of new service line into workflow
  • Assist HMC Supply Chain leadership in assignment optimization analysis

    Workflow par optimization
  • Partner with Procedural Inventory Coordinator (IC) to replace product labels
  • Receive orientation to all par locations from IC
  • Learn process to generate new patient supply labels from IC
  • Place new labels on designated workflows

    Other duties as assigned

    Must be a student currently enrolled at the University of Washington

    Employment Eligibility:
    In accordance with UW Employment and Administrative Policies, Chapter 104, Student Employees, to hold an appointment in one of the covered student job titles a student must be enrolled at the University of Washington and meet the following minimum enrollment requirements (not including correspondence credits):
  • Undergraduate students - 6 credits
  • Graduate and professional students - 4 credits
  • Ph.D. candidates working on dissertations - 2 credits
  • Granted "on leave" status
