The Systems and Database Analyst role ensures the security, stability and integrity of the I.T. systems infrastructure at the School of Dentistry. This is achieved by leading the planning, designing, implementation, and maintenance of the administrative, clinical, and research technology infrastructure. Managing infrastructure compliance, data backup procedures, hardware integration, software upgrades, and disaster recovery initiatives.
The Systems and Database Analyst is the lead person managing the architecture, installation, monitoring, maintenance, and optimization of all School of Dentistry administrative and clinical information technology systems and databases. They also hold primary responsibility for I.T. security in the School of Dentistry. The candidate will also be responsible for documenting and overseeing all processes and procedures relating to the operations and support in the environment. The person also has expertise in the maintenance of the Oracle database platform that underpins the axiUm system. This position supports the Dean, faculty, staff and students by establishing and managing a secure, HIPAA and FERPA compliant infrastructure and computing environment.
