• Nights – typically 9:30pm – 6:00am – 5 days/week
HFS provides on-campus housing and dining to over 7,800 student residents each year. In order to successfully accomplish this, we employ over 1,200 classified, professional staff and student staff members who work throughout HFS, providing residential and dining services to the campus, as well as additional campus services such as the Husky Card (the campus ID card), conferences and catering. HFS staff members support the University's focus on the undergraduate experience through many programs and services—providing students a smooth transition to living on their own. Position Purpose:
Our Temporary Team cleans bathrooms, residential floors, kitchens and dining rooms of our various dining operations and our common areas, at various operations around the UW campus, as well as a few office locations. This is an on-going need. Shifts and length of temporary assignment will vary.
What You’ll Be Doing:
• Cleaning and sanitizing kitchens, dining rooms and offices in accordance with established procedures and standards.
• Sweeping, moping and vacuuming floors; emptying wastebaskets, trash and recycle containers; replacing light bulbs.
• Dusting and cleaning walls, doors, windows, woodwork, furniture, etc.
• Stripping, cleaning, buffing and applying finish to floors; using high-speed floor buffers/polishers; vacuuming and cleaning carpets.
• Using and maintaining assigned power equipment and hand tools such as a vacuum, broom, mop, squeegee, or ladder for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets and furniture.
• Vacuuming furniture, drapery and walls.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Physical ability to do required work.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may substitute for required qualifications.

• Ability to effectively interact and communicate in a variety of situations
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Successful as a Custodian or housekeeper.

• Dedication to a high level of customer satisfaction
Condition of Employment:

The salary range is $16.34 per hour.
