UWMC - MONTLAKE has MULTIPLE OPENINGS for permanent (part-time/full-time) and temporary/hourly CARDIAC SONOGRAPHER 2's. This individual performs and analyzes comprehensive complex diagnostic cardiac ultrasound procedures such as Transthoracic Echo (TTE), Dobutamine Stress Echo (DSE), Treadmill Echo (TME), and assists physicians with Transesophageal Echo (TEE) procedures on patients referred for evaluation of suspected or known heart disease, post-operative evaluation of surgical therapy, or placement of cardiac prosthetic devices. This role also performs and analyzes diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations on adults, adolescents, children, and infants, referred for evaluation of heart disorders who are undergoing invasive/surgical diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac procedures or cardiac surgery procedures in hospital urgent care areas. This individual will also participate as primary Echocardiography Training Liaison with the School of Medicine Division of Cardiology Fellowship Training Program, providing in-depth clinical training and instruction in the techniques, theories, and methods analysis of Echocardiography and Cardiac Doppler examinations to all UW Cardiology Fellows and Anesthesiology Fellows, Anesthesiologists and other attending physicians as arranged.

REQUIREMENTS:
Completion of a training program accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), and current certification as Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) in Adult Echocardiography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS);
AND
One year of experience as Cardiac Sonographer 1 or equivalent education/experience.
